Domain name transfer

  I have toyed with WordPress for may years. I have a Domain Name, which is http://www.yachtingdirections.com
  I would like to use this to set up my WordPress website but I can’t seem to raise it on WordPress. All I get is that they is a WordPress name. All my records for the ‘website’ that I have been building have disappeared. How can you help me recover the domain name and then st it into a website so I can begin using it effectively and efficiently and powerfully.

  Good morning briendaniel!

  I have done a Whois Lookup and it seems that your site is not hosted on WordPress.com–this may be the source of any domain issues you are having. You are registered with the domain provider MelbourneIT, so I have found some info for you specifically: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/prepare-domain-for-transfer/. If you go to this link and scroll all the way down to the bottom and look under Instructions for common domain providers, you can then click on Melbourne IT. This will transfer you to their specific support documents.
