Domain name transfer on 2nd year
-
Hello,
I’m planning to upgrade to the personal plan, but I’m wondering, how much will the yearly subscription be if I need to pay for the domain name on the second year? What happens if I transfer to a different domain registrar on the second year? Hope any staff could answer my questions. Thanks.

Hello,
From the second year, your WordPress.com yearly subscription cost will be the annual cost of the plan + the annual cost of the domain you registered.
The cost of the domain is based on the TLD of the domain. You can find more information here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
You can still use the domain with your WordPress.com site after transferring it in the second year to another registrar by using the domain mapping described here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
Domain mapping is free if you already own a plan!
You can check out the plans and their pricing on this below page: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Hope this helps!
Cheers!
