Domain name transfer qustions

  i purchoused a domain name from Go daddy and i am looking to buld a web page little did i know is that they charge 5 a mont. so if i where to transfer from Go daddy will i halfto pay again for the domain to be used in wordpress

  Hi @leviticuslather, if you host the domain here on our servers, you would need one of our paid plans:
  https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  From there, you can either keep the domain registered through GoDaddy, and point it to our servers, or transfer the domain to us. If you transfer to us, we automatically add one year to it — which is included in your plan pricing. Then next year, you’ll renew at the regular domain price (currently and typically $18/year.)
