Domain name Trouble

  Hi,
  I don’t understand why these is no way to contact wp support when you reserve a domain name with wordpress. I tried this week end to replace my new site laweensite.wordpress.com to laween.com. I took the 3euros/month offer so my domain name was included and free in the order. When i payed it seems to not work and it directed to my wordpress home. I received no confirmation mail. I left you a message in french with no answer yet. It’s really a big, big problem for me because i needed to create my website quickly. I am very disappointed as I had trusted wordpress, mostly i begin to really panic because my domain name (laween.com) is blocked now when i searching for it on wp domain name. It seems to be considered as purchased on your servers when obviously the payment or the final operation has not succeeded (no confirmation, no bank withdrawal). I really need some explanation and help… PLEASE Thank you very much.

  Hi Laurine –

  It looks like laween.com is registered elsewhere. To use this domain at WordPress.com you’d need to map it to your account. I do not see where this has been attempted from this account. Perhaps you tried to set this up under a different user account?

  Hi thanks for your answer. I saw that i can map it for 13e. So i think i will take this solution. But how can i be sure that it would work this time as my last payments didn’t work? I’m a bit scared now :s Do you think i could try again without taking any risk?
  My actual website is https://birdofpreyproduction.wordpress.com. I would like to keep it as it is in order to not make trouble with my media. I will remove it when my new laween.com site will be available. So I created a new site (laweensite.wordpress.com) in my account in order to map it to laween.com. Is it the good way ?
  Sorry but i’m pretty new in wordpress and i really don’t know how to process precisely to make the things work… I just want to recover my domain correctly.

  Good Morning –

  I saw that i can map it for 13e.

  Yes, you can do that by going to My Sites > Domains > Add New > Map

  The custom domain, laween.com, that you map to your account is going to be connected to a free .wordpress.com address. However, your site viewers will only see the custom domain.

  If you are planning to keep birdofpreyproduction.wordpress.com as a separate site, then I would suggest that you map laween.com to laweensite.wordpress.com instead.
