domain name vs. blog name

    Just opened my blog for the first time…it says my blog name is: pjansellnet. I’m confused. I thought I was paying for the domain name to be: pjansell.net Then it also says my user name is jacansell, I had no idea this to be public and it is not what I wanted. I need some help getting things squared away/indone thanks, Jacquie

    Hey there,

    So, you have pjansellnet.wordpress.com, which is the required WordPress.com Url that will always be associated with the blog. Then, you have your custom domain, pjansell.net – the domain that your WordPress.com URL forwards to and what visitors will see when they visit your site. jacansell is your username that will be displayed whenever you are making comments on WordPress.com sites or in the community forums.

    I had no idea this to be public and it is not what I wanted.
