  I’m sure this is a stupid question, but i want my web address to have the www. prefix, how do i do this please?

  No site hosted by WordPress.com has the www.

  Your site is hosted by WordPress.COM. It is not a WordPress.ORG software install. I think you are confusing WordPress.ORG sites and WordPress.ORG sites.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
