Is it possible to add www to my domain name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. You do this in the DNS settings of your domain.
You add a CNAME record of ‘www’. You set the value of the record to lognoggin.com. This will make http://www.lognoggin.com accessible.
Note; It takes up to 72 hours for DNS changes to proppgate, so don’t expect to see the results instantly.

Please excuse me, I am a novice; but a quick learner!
How do I get to my DNS settings on WordPress?

Did you register the domain with WordPress.com when you registered your account/blog, or did you register your domain with GoDaddy/123-reg/similar and point it to your wordpress.com site?
