    Good morning,
    I’m considering purchasing my Domain name but have a couple of questions.

    #1 – I reside in Australia currently, but am looking to travel around Dec’23 – Jan’24 for 6/12 months, in the UK, & am querying if you’ll take a PO Box as a contact address?
    #2 – Due to data breaches, I’m having to look at changing my primary emails & phone number, but may wait until I’m in the UK – will this be an issue, in relation to the ‘Contactable’ policy?
    #3 -In relation to the email issue, could I move my other email accounts (Hotmail, Gmail, Outlook) to my WordPress domain name?
    #4 – If I do automatic renewal (via my Aust Credit Card) is the 1st payment taken after the free year is up, or in advance?

    I think that’s it but is there a link I could have a look at too?

    Hi Julie –

    Great questions. So, it does not matter where you live with regards to your domain registration. A PO box should work fine because many people around the globe only have that sort of an option.

    Every WordPress.com account requires 1 unique email address. It’s not possible to attach more than 1 email to the account. We have a detailed page to help you remain safe online and much of this is applicable to any online account you might have. https://wordpress.com/support/security/

    You’ll pay for the upgrades at the time of purchase. Subsequent renewals will happen about 30 days before the expiration date. This gives us time to save the upgrades in case you have a card expire, for example.

    Thank you for your prompt response & I apologize for my delay in getting back to you – sorting out some health issues.

    You’ve answered all my questions, but I still have one issue in relation to the ‘free year’ – when I look to upgrade, the options talk about it, but there’s no mention of ‘when it clicks in’ & that’s why I asked about it originally.

    I hope you can clear this up for me.

    The payment is taken the moment you sign up for a paid plan. And you don’t get a paid plan free for the first year, you get your custom domain free for the first year when you buy a paid plan. It’s very clearly stated at https://wordpress.com/pricing/ in bold Free domain for one year
