  I am in australia and i want to register the domain name samhoward.com.au but it won’t allow me to use the .au

  How do i get around this problem and is there anyway possible to let me have .au as it would be a great help.

  Hi there, WordPress.com supports registering domains with the extensions .com, .org, .net, or .me.

  You can still map domains with other extensions to your blog – you just have to register them with another registrar and then map them to your blog, following the instructions here:
