Domain Names

It happens all the time. People want a domain, like example.com instead of example.wordpress.com. you gotta do more than just hit enter. there is a whole process of getting 15 credits on paypal, activating your domain, and so on. you have to go into options, and then domain. type in what your desired domain, and pay the $15 (USA) that it costs. You have to have a paypal account in order to pay. Once you have that, type in the info that it wants, submit, done. right? no. you have to click on the automattic link, copy the code, and do that. once you have done that, you must press the link on the second bar of your custom domain. then, save the changes. done! you have you very own domain.

I could read the whole thing if there wasn’t a penguin sitting in middle of the post. Any way to read what the penguin is covering?

You will not be able to use your domain on your WordPress.com blog unless you purchase the upgrade from WP.com and the only way to buy it is via paypal.

I have done these but the activation of the DNS is taking days.. until now my domain isnt activated for wordpress. :(

you have to contact wordpress.com support cause it usually activates just after you pay.

So what do I do if I type in my desired domain name, and then the next page states that there are possible problems with this domain? Do I need to purchase my credits before typing in my desired domain name or is the domain name already taken?
