Domain Names

    Hi.

I manage the domain for my company. I’d prefer not to have to manage my domain through wordpress.com as your support documents suggest. Is there a DNS record that we can point an A record or CNAME at, rather than giving you control?

    Thank you,

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You can map your domain here using A-records as well. However, keep in mind that our IPs change over time at which point your site will stop working and you’ll need to contact us to get the new IPs. This doesn’t happen regularly, but it can happen. That’s why we recommend rather using name servers.

You will need to add two A-records with these IPs:

    192.0.78.24

    192.0.78.25

Both A-records should be added to the root domain.
