domain names and changing the wordpress blog name

  I was thinking about changing the URL name fearchamber.wordpress.com to something else. If I do so, will my domain name fearchamber.com still point to the altered wordpress URL name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, if you upgrade your domain name to fearchamber.com it will show your WordPress.com site but the URL in the URL box will show the upgraded domain, fearchamber.com. (Post a question if my answer didn’t make sense to you)

  Oh no, fearchamber.com already points to fearchamber.wordpress.com… I was thinking about changing fearchamber.wordpress.com to another name like derekctatum.wordpress.com. Would fearchamber.com then point to the new WordPress URL?

  Sadly no, if you purchase a new custom domain the old one becomes a broken link. You can buy a redirect if you still own the old domain.

  Note; WordPress just fixed the domain registration service. Now that WordPress fixed that, you may want to try that task again! :D
