    what does it mean to transfer domain names. I am new to this way of communicating and am seeking some help.

    Hi vanduvall,

    what does it mean to transfer domain names.

    Transferring a domain from your current provider to WordPress.com means it would be renewed through us each year. You would also log in to WordPress.com to make changes to the domain settings.

    I noticed you haven’t created any sites on WordPress.com yet. Are you looking to create a site with us and use an existing domain here? Or have you already created a site with another host?

    Just let me know and I can point you in the right direction.
