Domain nameservers
-
Hello,
I registered the domain http://www.headaroundtheworld.com with you. I then realised I needed a self-hosted site instead so I created one on GoDaddy with WordPress.org support. I took the domain http://www.headroundtheworld.com (without ‘a’) but now I need to point http://www.headaroundtheworld.com which is registered with you to this new host.I did change the nameservers as per your support page but it does not point to the new site! I checked with GoDaddy who say I used the right nameservers but they say:
“It it looks like the www record and the @ record are not pointed at the same place, should be a quick fix”
Can you please let me know how to fix this as I have done everything as per your support page help but it doesn’t seem to work yet.
Thanks!

Hmm, I just noticed the above posted automatically says I need help with daniellebatist.com- this is not the case! The query I have relates to the domain http://www.headaroundtheworld.com. Thanks!

You can point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), with these steps:
You’ll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
I hope this helps – let me know if you have any more questions!

I see the nameserver records have been changed buy I don’t think they are pointed to the correct address.
Please check with your new hosting provider what the correct nameserver records are.
