Domain Not Available

I have a client who’s domain is registered with Automattic. An ICANN Lookup confirms that the domain’s registrar is indeed Automatic. When the client (or myself) navigates to Upgrades > Domains, we see the message “Domains are not available for this site.”

Does ANYONE know where we can go to actually FIND the domain that is registered with Automattic?

Hello

Could you please share the domain name you are referring to so we can assist you better.

Also, make sure that you haven’t cancelled that domain name https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#cancel-a-domain-name because once the domain gets cancelled

The domain can be lost permanently.

I can’t see that this domain is connected to this WordPress.com account.

Is it possible that there’s multiple accounts at play?

Yes, the owner of the account that also owns the domain (Anita Bennett) has her own WordPress.com login. In her account she has walked through going to Upgrades > Domains and sees the same message “Domains are not available for this site.” As far as I know, she is logged into the correct “admin” account that controls the actual domain. I am trying to navigate and figure out where this domain actually is, and who has actual access to the domain.

The Business upgrade and domain are tied to the site urbanhollywood411.wpcomstaging.com – so the administrator who owns that site needs to log in and manage their domain here:

https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/urbanhollywood411.wpcomstaging.com

The site urbanhollywood411.com under their account is a Jetpack connected site hosted elsewhere – which is why there’s a Domains are not available for this site. message if you’re trying to access the domain there. They would need to switch to the site hosted here at WordPress.com – urbanhollywood411.wpcomstaging.com – in order to see the Business plan and manage that domain.

Thank you. That helps immensely. Been tough trying to figure this out because the owner isn’t very adept with all the details.
