Domain not pointing to wordpress.com
-
Hello,
Very frustrated with WP. I get the the message ‘Domain not pointing to wordpress.com’ when I click on my upgrades. I paid WP $13 for mapping, I am unable to edit the servers to change it. To add to this my site doesn’t update, I’ve cleared my cached browser several times but still the old version of my blog remains. Is this to do with the mapping/not pointing to WP.com? It’s not a cashed plugin because it’s wordpress.com not .org PLEASE HELP ME! I’m about to give up.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear that. For your site to work, you’ll need to complete the domain mapping process. This includes changing the domain’s nameservers in your domain registrar to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMYou can usually change your domain’s name servers at your registrar’s website. The exact process for updating your domain’s name servers is different for each domain registrar. Instructions for popular registrars are available here. If your registrar isn’t listed, visit their website or contact their support team for assistance. If you cannot figure this out and you need to contact support at your registrar, here is a sample email you can send:
I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following: NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COM I do not want to transfer my domain, but want to leave it registered with you. WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. They require the name servers to be updated as described.Once you’ve updated your name servers, it can take some time for the change to take full effect (up to 72 hours, but normally much less).
Here’s more information on domain mapping:

It looks like your nameservers are currently pointing to GoDaddy:

As elzrjose explained, you’ll need to update those to our name servers in order for your domain to work correctly. Let me know if you have trouble with that!
