Domain not routing to mobile friendly site

    Hi,
My wordpress.com site is showing as mobile friendly but my domain name that reroutes from godaddy is not routing to the mobile friendly site. I’m confused b/c I thought the domain routed to the wordpress site so I don’t know why both are not showing up as mobile friendly. Can you help explain or find the problem?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I can help you look into that.

However, I do not see that you have domain mapping set up for any custom domain. What domain are we talking about here?

Hi, Thank you rootjosh. I guess the problem is I didn’t have domain mapping? I have the domain of maggiemaysgifts.com and it’s being re-routed to maggiemaysgifts.wordpress.com.
I was a little confused that I need to pay and upgrade to have it ‘mapped’ to the location. I thought that’s what the re-routing by godaddy did.
Is there any option other than upgrading for it to work right?
    Thank you!

  • Bling forwarding at the domain registrar level (which you have done here) causes these issues. It can also cause URL display issues on the viewer’s end of things.

The best way to use a domain registered elsewhere with your WorDPress.com site is to set up Domain Mapping following these instructions:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Let me know if you have any trouble.
