domain not working

    Hi there,

I updated and paid for the premium service on 14th March. At this time l also created a custom domain and updated this as my primary domain for my blog. As confirmed, it takes up to 48hrs for this to take into effect, however it has been 5 days and my website is still saying ‘webpage note found’. Are you able to help?

    Hi there,

Only certain domain endings (like .com, .net, and .org) can be registered directly here at WordPress.com — you can see a full list of available domains on our Domains support page. Domains ending in .com.au can’t be registered here, but you can use that domain here at WordPress.com if you register it elsewhere. (Sorry if that wasn’t clear when you first set up that domain name!)

I checked that domain at ausregistry.com.au and found a list of domain registrars where you could register that domain name:

    http://ausregistry.com.au/registrars?domain=complexionperfectionmakeup.com.au

Once you own the domain name, you can follow the steps in our guide to Map an Existing Domain to point the domain to your WordPress.com site.

If you’d prefer to register your domain directly at WordPress.com, please let me know. I can remove the domain complexionperfectionmakeup.com.au from your site and reset your free domain credit so you can register a new domain for free. For example, the domain complexionperfectionmakeup.com is currently available, so you could register that domain name here at WordPress.com if you’d like.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

    Hi there,

Ok, makes sense. Would you be able to remove the .com.au URL and replace with the .com version? Thanks for your help.

Done! I’ve removed the domain mapping upgrade for complexionperfectionmakeup.com.au. You should now be able to register the .com version at no additional charge through the steps here:

    Register a New Domain

Can you give that a try?
