Domain Not Working & Email Not Receiving
-
Hi Team,
I am having an issue where it seems the DNS Records were not updated correctly, making the email server, hosted on Titan, to not receive anything and the website and WP Admin inaccessible.
I have double checked the backend and WordPress says there are missing records but doing a check I do seem them already imputed. The option to transfer to a new Registrar is also missing. Could I please get assistance?
Thank you.

Hey, I’m here to help you sort this out.
From what I can see, your MX records for bkd-media.com.au indicate that you’re currently using Google Workspace for your email hosting. Additionally, I notice that you have had the Professional Email (Titan) set up through WordPress.com for this domain since 2023.
However, your domain DNS isn’t managed through WordPress.com. To use Professional Email effectively, you’ll need to manually update your DNS records. You can follow the steps outlined here to add and configure the necessary DNS records: https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/professional-email/get-started/#manually-set-up-your-email. Also, remember to remove previous conflicting records to ensure proper email function.
If you’re looking to transfer your domain to another provider, you’ll need to unlock the domain and initiate the transfer from your current provider. The domain is only mapped to WordPress.com, and it is registered with an external company.
If any further guidance is needed or you’re seeing specific errors, sharing those details would help us assist more effectively.
Let me know how you’d like to proceed with these steps, or if you need more detailed assistance—I’m here to support you!

Hi @sajjadisbrilliant, thank you for updating on this for me. Could you help me identify any conflicting records? As I am assisting in rectifying this but this was initially set up by a previous developer.
On the WordPress dashboard, I am being notified on Name Servers needing update. I have added it into the records some time back but the error still persists. Is there a conflicting record(s) that is an obstacle or have I missed a step?

Hello @bradbkdmedia!
Thank you for getting back to us with additional information.
It appears that your domain’s name servers are not yet pointing to WordPress.com. To resolve this, please update your domain’s name server settings with your current registrar to the following:ns1.wordpress.comns2.wordpress.comns3.wordpress.com
If you’re unsure where your domain is registered, you can look it up using the Site Profiler.
Need help changing the name servers? Please contact your domain registrar directly for assistance. You can also refer to the list of common domain providers and their steps here.
Note: DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate, depending on your registrar’s system, though they often take effect sooner. You may use an external DNS propagation checker to monitor the update.
Once the name servers are successfully updated, don’t forget to reset your MX records in the WordPress.com dashboard. You’ll find step-by-step instructions here:
Configure your email DNS records
Feel free to let us know once you’ve updated the DNS so we can verify the changes on our end.
If you have any other questions, feel free to share them here. -
Hi there,
It sounds like your DNS settings might still be propagating or may have conflicting entries causing email and WP admin access issues. I’d recommend double-checking the following:
- Ensure MX records are correctly pointing to Titan’s mail servers.
- Verify that A, CNAME, and TXT records are accurately set, especially for your main domain and admin panel access.
- Try flushing your local DNS cache and use tools like DNS Checker to see if global propagation is complete.
Also, if your domain registrar panel isn’t showing the transfer option, it may be due to a lock on the domain or incomplete WHOIS info. You may need to contact your registrar’s support team directly for assistance.
