  I am trying to pay for my domain name but my Country is not found on the list of countries in payment (Lebanon).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  WordPress.com uses PayPal as a payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ Your country is not supported.

  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  I don’t understand why my country is not listed. When they asked me to enter my address it was listed and when they asked me to enter my payment it was not? Every other website I have tried to purchase from (amazon for example) they had my country listed. Is there no way you are able to add it? Besides i’m not paying with paypal i’m paying with mastercard

  PayPal is our sole credit card payment processor behind-the-scenes and they solely dictate which countries they will accept payment from as @timethief mentioned, and currently PayPal does not accept payments from Lebanon.

  Amazon.com has their own credit card processing merchant account, which is why you can purchase goods from them.

  The only other option that you can use other than using PayPal is to use Bitcoin as payment. Here’s more information on Bitcoin:

  It’s my understanding that at this time bitcoin cannot be used for payments for domains or for premium themes. Has that changed?

  @timethief – my mistake! You are correct.

  One workaround we have found is that people can purchase a Value Bundle – which includes a free domain registration – using Bitcoin. Then, they can register a domain using the bundle credits.
