Domain payment refund

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve been charged £50 for a domain I haven’t been using for years and after having switched to the free account a few years ago.

How is this happening? How can I make sure to have my money back and most importantly be sure that this won’t happen again?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi @enricolixia,

I have tagged the staff so that they can help you more directly regarding this billing issue and refund needed.

  • Hi there,

The account you used to post here has never owned any domains or any other upgrades on WordPress.com, and you also did not include the domain in your post.

We don’t sell any domains that retail at £50, and the only upgrade plan we sell at that price is the two-year Blogger Plan, which has only existed since last month, so it’s impossible for this to have been a renewal for that plan. So I have no way of knowing what you’ve been charged for and for which account based on the details you provided.

If you’re not sure what exactly the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/. You can also use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.

You have also since deleted this account, meaning there’s no way for you to reply on this thread again, so I’m closing it to further replies.
