Domain pointed to SiteGround

Hi! I’m trying to get started on building my website but I seem stuck. I pointed my domain to SiteGround because I was under the impression it would create an account with all three platforms (WP, WC, and SG). Yet now I can’t seem to connect WordPress to SiteGround to actually begin building a site. Woo either. I downloaded the plug in on SiteGround for both but it doesn’t do anything. What needs to be done on this end to get up and running?

To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org and they are two different entities.
We, WordPress.com are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is a stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.

If you’re going to host your site on Siteground, you’ll be using the free WordPress software from WordPress.org.
We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
