  Hello,

  I have created a website on the free wordpress.com login having the URL http://indianatradex.wordpress.com

  I have my domain name registered with WhoIs. I have changed the name servers to point to wordpress.

  How can I connect my domain name from WhoIs so that it will redirect to the above URL.

  Is it mandatory to purchase an annual plan or can it be done without any charges.

  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there!

  You are correct, you’ll need to perform a Domain Connection which is included with any paid plan:
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/#toc

  You were also able to pay only for the connection without the plan ($13), but I just tested it and it’s not working. However, if you don’t buy a plan you would not be able to set your custom domain as your primary address, meaning that your site would always redirect to your free WordPress.com domain.
  So buying a plan would be the best option for you.
