Domain pricing

  I’m setting up a new WordPress site and already have a domain. I want to compare pricing on transferring or mapping to WordPress. I can’t find pricing if I transfer my domain to WordPress. Also, if I just map my domain to WordPress, I don’t understand the $13/year fee. What is that for?

  To either transfer or map your domain to a WordPress.com site will require a paid plan. If you map the domain you’ll pay for a WordPress.com plan here and pay for your domain wherever it remains. If you transfer your domain you’ll pay for a WordPress.com plan for the first year. When renewal time comes round you’ll pay WordPress.com for a plan plus the annual cost to renew your domain.
