  When you choose WordPress Premium and a custom domain comes with that, do you also get privacy protection? Or do you have to then pay the additional $8/year for that?

  When you enter contact information there is an option to “please keep my information private” or “publish my information”

  You can always get a refund within 30 days of purchasing the Premium plan per the refund guidelines if you find it is not what you want. It takes up to 7 days to receive a refund once requested. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
