Domain privacy

  Hi there, I’m trying to transfer my domain to my new website host at Siteground. I unlocked the domain, removed the privacy upgrade and have my EPP code. But Siteground is still unable to see the information about my domain. I know it can take time for changes to DNS servers to propagate but does this apply to changes to domain privacy as well? It’s been more than 30 hours since I removed the privacy upgrade.

  Or is there something I’m missing? Do I need to do more than remove the privacy upgrade?

  Howdy,

  It should be pretty speedy. Looking up your domain in the public WHOIS system, the domain privacy is not active:
  https://who.wildwestdomains.com/whois.aspx?domain=chrisriedy.me&prog_id=wildwestdomains

  Your domain is reported as unlocked, so as far as I can tell, you should be all set.

  Thanks kraftbj. For some reason Siteground can’t see it yet but maybe it just needs time to propagate. I agree that everything looks fine at this end.
