Domain privacy

  Where can I find out whether the domains I wish to purchase have the domain privacy switched on – there is no mention of it anywhere on the Checkout page at WordPress.com. It just says: ”Privacy Protection is included for all eligible domains to protect your personal information.” which could mean either it’s ON or it’s OFF. Thank you

  Hi there!

  Most common TLDs (like .com, .net, .org) come with domain privacy, so we enable them by default. Are you looking at other TLDs we offer? If yes, please let me know the TLD (which is the extension at the end of the domain name) you’re looking at, and we can check and let you know if it’s eligible for domain privacy.

  Thanks for confirming! For .uk domains, privacy is enabled by default by Nominet, the .uk registry. Please see their website for more information.
