Domain problem

    mark,

I am talking about harvestpe.org. I cannot get it renewed and attached to the blog “harvestpe.wordpress.com”. I have renewed twice, and now I have 2 (!) years of domain mapping, but no attachment, and it keeps telling me to renew my domain (!)

Okay – I was going on what you posted in the first post.

I can see the issue and I will get it dealt with. I’ll post back when I am sure what is what.

When you go to the page Admin>Upgrades>Domains, and you press “renew”, it takes you to a page that states:

“Your blog is mapped to your domain (harvestpe.org) and this domain mapping needs to be renewed before November 15, 2007. Renewal will extend the domain mapping by one year, until November 15, 2008. The cost is 10 credits. (Remember to renew the domain itself with your registrar, too.)”

I have screen captures showing that I renewed 2 times yesterday, and after that the above page told me that my domain mapping now expires Nov 15, 2009.

I have spent $20 so far.

    What’s up?

    You renewed the domain mapping
You did not renew the domain name

    I am working on it.

    mark,

    thank you.
Sorry it took me so long to get to the point.

    mark, trent,

should I leave a message at support, or do you have it handled?

    thanks

I have it handled – it’s being worked on.
I apologise for the delay – it’s the time of year thing.

I have the same thing happening with carseattraveler.com. I originally registered the domain with WordPress but then switched to Bluehost to have it hosted there. Somewhere in there, the domain was registered with Wild West Registrar. I have contacted both Bluehost and Wild West to try to get an auth code to switch it all to Bluehost. Both have referred me back to WordPress but I have heard nothing yet. Ugh – so frustrating!

Okay, I think I have figured it out after reading back through all of your suggestions – I hope so! Many hours on the phone later…
