  I’m so confused…I worked with godaddy to get my domain to point to my wordpress site but it doesn’t work. Rather than going to my site when I type in my address, it goes to a hello world wordpress site. Help me please…

  It appears GoDaddy helped you to set up a self-hosted WordPress.ORG site, and they’re probably having you pay for hosting as well.

  Go to your WordPress.com site’s dashboard. Go to Store and buy the domain mapping upgrade. Enter your custom domain when asked. Then go to GoDaddy, cancel your hosting with them (ONLY hosting, NOT the domain registration), and change the nameservers for your URL to point to WordPress.com.   I’m assuming in my answer above that you want your domain pointing to http://sandysmailcreations.wordpress.com/ , the URL connected to your username.
