Domain Problem – Urgent Help Needed

    I’ve been trying to find a way of contacting WordPress directly but with no success.
    I initially purchased a domain name through WordPress.com. I then transferred the hosting to eHost when I switched to using WordPress.org.
    I’ve now had a professional build me a new site and they need to transfer the domain to their server. This was proving impossible and when I asked eHost for the relevant information they told me that the domain registrar is wildwestdomains.com.
    So, I contacted Wild West Domains. They came back to me saying that the domain is registered with WordPress.com and that they only provide a connection to the registry. My current site is going offline on Sunday if I don’t pay for hosting, but as we’re trying to transfer it, that is something I really don’t want to have to do. I also can’t afford for the site to be down as my business is launching next week.
    If anybody can provide me with some advice I’d be very grateful as I’m in urgent need of some help .

    This is wordpress.COM support. We cannot answer any questions posted here accurately until we have the relevant URL and have confirmed hosting.

    We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. That support is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
    (3) Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.com/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

    What is the exact URL starting with http:// you refer to please?

    If you need to again change the DNS settings for your domain purchased through WordPressdotcom to reflect your new hosting, you would need to enter your WPcom site’s domain dashboard and change those DNS settings to the information that you have received from your new web hosting provider: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/

    Hopefully you have not deleted the original underlying WPcom site.

    The domain, dorsetfoodnetwork.com, is registered to a different username than you’re using to post here. That domain belongs to the user, jongwynne

    The domain is also showing that a transfer is in progress, so currently it’s not possible to change any settings on that domain. You will need to either wait for the transfer to complete and change the DNS at the new registrar, or you need to log in as jongwynne and cancel the transfer from My Site ->Domains.

    I will also need you to post here as the correct username before I can provide any other assistance with this domain.
