domain problems

I’ve bought a domain http://electrobabe.at and it is pointing to http://electrobabe.wordpress.com/ but I have problems with the nameserver registrations.
I tried to follow the instructions at http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/10/domain-mapping/ and told my hoster to change the records, but he answered me, that they received a denial for the change, because the nameservers do not resolve my domain:

What went wrong? What do I have to do now?

the forwarding is correct, but I wanted to add my domain in wordpress, so that the url and the links do not contain “wordpress”.
but when I try to add my domain, I get the error message:
“We were unable to verify that electrobabe.at is pointing to WordPress.com. If you own this domain, follow the directions below to get it ready for your blog. If you don’t own it, try a different name to see if something else is available. Not sure. I am not working with domains yet. ( I haven’t used one yet) So – someone else on here will help you out.

Things are generally a bit broken around here today as they’re rolling in new code, and nameservers can take a day or two to resolve anyway. If it’s still not working tomorrow email Support.
