I wanted to transfer my Unknottedliving.com domain to squarespace. I thought canceling it here would allow me to buy it again there. I was wrong. I can’t seem to get it back now. What can I do?

Hi there,
Cancelling a domain means giving up ownership of it. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.
In this case we should still be able to get the domain back for you before it goes into redemption at our domain provider. If that happens, they will charge an extra $80 fee to restore the domain.
I’ve emailed them to ask them to restore the domain. Once it’s restored you’ll be able to transfer it to another provider instead.
We’ll let you know as soon as we hear back from them.
