domain problems

  Gday, My original domain twosipschronicles.com expired so I have registered a new domain twosipschronicles.net and have made that my primary site. Everytime I type in the address twosipschronicles.net it says this ‘Your blog’s domain twosipschronicles.com stopped functioning on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 and visitors who come to the web address twosipschronicles.com cannot find your site any more. Please note the primary domain twosipschronicles.net was also deactivated until twosipschronicles.com is either renewed or canceled.’ Yet I can’t reactivate that domain…How do I re-map my site to twosipschronicles.net

  While logged into the account, on the notice that says “Uh oh! Your blog’s domain twosipschronicles.com expired”, click the “Cancel this domain” link. If the expiration notice still appears after doing that, close your browser completely, restart it and visit the page that had the notice/banner.

  Another option: Log into the WordPress.com account that you used to buy the upgrade. From your Dashboard go to Store > My Upgrades. Next to the domain, click the cog icon, then click the cancel link. Here’s more info about cancelling upgrades: https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

  If neither of those work, add “modlook” to the tags for this thread to let WordPress.com staff know that you need assistance with this issue.

  There was no cancel your domain link. and there was no cog icon in the my upgrades section.

  Hi there,

  It looks like the mapping record for your old domain was still stuck in the system. I have deleted it and your site should now be appearing at the correct domain. If you still see the expired domain warning, please try a force-refresh (Ctrl-F5) or clear your browser cache.

  I see you have also disabled private registration on your domain earlier today. Was that in an attempt to fix this, or don’t you want private registration anymore? If you removed it in an attempt to fix the problem, I can restore it to your account again. Just let me know.
