Domain purchase and attaching

  Greetings all,

  I’m having trouble attaching my recently-purchased site to a previously purchased WordPress domain. I would like to change the site’s name from jc100745284353.wordpress.com to jeselsohncenter-he.com and I also want to attach the domain jeselsohncenter-he.com to this same site.
  However, when I try attaching it via the Domains page it doesn’t come up as a choice and I’m not sure where to find it. Please assist, thank you!

  Hey manisharaut2019,

  I tried navigating through that support page, unfortunately I wasn’t able to make any progression because the domain I purchased doesn’t show up on the list. I was told in a previous thread that the WP staff could do it for me if it didn’t work out, so I guess I’ll just email them if I don’t get a reply here in the forums.

  I’ve reviewed the account. Right now, both jeselsohncenter-he.com and jeselsohncenter.com are connected to jecfjh.wordpress.com

  These domains are registered directly through us, at WordPress.com. You don’t have to map anything.

  Which of these domains do you want to move over to jc100745284353.wordpress.com?

  I have successfully transferred jeselsohncenter-he.com to jc100745284353.wordpress.com.

  jeselsohncenter.com is now the only domain connected to jecfjh.wordpress.com.

  Okay, follow-up question. Now that I’m successfully using my site (jeselsohncenter-he.com) I notice that any attachment is automatically linked to the free blog site name that I had chosen at random to connect to the previously purchased domain. So, how can I change the “foundation” of my site to rid myself of the silly previous name (jc100745284353.wordpress.com)?
