domain purchase with out upgrading plan

  Hello- I’m wanting to get a domain for my website- but I DO not want to upgrade my plan. It doesn’t seem to be giving me this option anymore

  Hi @thinkinginmichif, you can buy a domain at https://wordpress.com/domains if you just want to reserve it, however to host that domain on WordPress.com you will need a paid plan. It’s been that way for a few years now.

  Paid plans do come with a free domain registration (or transfer) for the first year though. Let us know if you have questions about that:
