  Hi there,

  I am developing a website for my employer and I have a small concern before I develop the website with WordPress and convert it to her purchased GoDaddy domain name.

  From what research I have uncovered; it is possible to direct the domain name on WordPress to a domain name with GoDaddy. However, I have read that there have been quite a few complications. I have a due date for the end of July for our new launch of the company, and I don’t want all our hard work to crash when we launch it with our domain transfer. So the questions I have are.

  • What would be the safest protocol to transfer the domain name from WordPress to the purchased GoDaddy domain without crashing the SEO?
  • What would happen if my SEO crashed after transfer? Would there be a way to recover it?
  • Is WordPress domain hosts compatible with .ca?

  What is the current URL of the site you are developing? Is it in your WordPress.com account? Once I know more about how you are developing the site, I’ll have a better idea of what you need.
