Domain question

So I have a question I’m confused as to why WordPress is asking me to pay when I already have a domain host name through host gator. My other question is when I paid for the domain name through hole skater I accidentally exited out of the window then when I try to sign in with the whole skater domain it was unrecognizable. If you could help me with these matters I’d really appreciate it thank you.

What is your intent behind creating a site here on WordPress.com platform?
