domain question

  If I am understanding everything correctly:

  1. I can purchase a domain name (that’s the 15 units thing) and use WP to continue hosting my blog under the new name.

  2. Anyone who types in my old blog address will be automatically directed to the new name.

  3. If I ever want to move my blog to another hosting site, including all posts, comments, permalinks etc., I can do so after 60 days with WP. (Although I’m not planning to move, just looking ahead).

  I would appreciate if someone could let me know if my understaning of this is correct. If not, Please correct me!

  Yes, Yes, and Yes. And please don’t bump threads. The probable reason nobody answered you is that most of that is covered in the FAQs already.
