  If you meant to ask whether you can still open a WordPress.com site with a free plan, then yes that’s still an option. The process you’ll want to follow is:

  • Create a new site from https://wordpress.com/jetpack/new
  • Type in a domain name and choose the free yourdomain.wordpress.com domain: https://snipboard.io/Bfw3Jl.jpg
  • Finally choose the free plan: https://snipboard.io/a4cvyF.jpg
