Domain Re-Registration

  my domain registration has expired – it was paid to Gandi, but i received no notification that it was about to expire, how can i register it again, this time with wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, considering the nature of domains and the fact that we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names, I highly advise you to stay with your current registrar and just map your domain to your WordPress.com site using the Domain Mapping upgrade.

  The reason being that if you were to cancel your domain and then “repurchase” it, the registrar determines when to release it (which may not be instant). Sometimes it can take weeks for it to be released, and they wouldn’t be able to give you the exact date of release. So, if someone were the purchase it again before you do then there is nothing you can do.
