Domain re-verification
-
Hey! We had previously a domainname linked to our website.
I didn’t get the message for this, probably because there is another user for this website, but his email has been deleted because he no longer works with us.However, when I signup for a plan to restore the emailadres, it says its not available, get in touch with support and that brings me here. Awesome kind of loop right…
Could you help me restore the right domain?
Site: https://thermovormeninformatie.wordpress.com.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: Yes -
Hi there!
Just to confirm, can you tell us what the domain is so that we can look that up on our side?
Thanks!

Hello there,
I can’t see that this domain is connected to this account.
It sounds like you would need to recover an account, which is possible with a Transaction ID.
If you’re able to locate a transaction ID from a bank statement used to make any purchases, the account recovery can be started here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
I hope this helps.

Hey there,
We didn’t find the receipt of it. We’re sure we were the owner though, but thats sadly of no use if we cant get it back.
Could you provide assistance on when the domain might leave the Redemptionperiod at WildWestDomains (the provider linked to WordPress.com)?
Is there a standard period for it?In this way we can try around that time to restate the domain via a plan. It shoudl be available again then right?
Because there is no way to dropcatch it via you?Hoping you can help!

Because there is no way to dropcatch it via you? There’s no set time for when a domain will become available after a domain redemption, or for the redemption period.
We also don’t offer a drop catch service. If you’re able to locate a transaction ID, that would be your best bet.

Hey there,
We found a bank statement luckily (june 2019).
You can find it here: [redacted] (it will be removed after 6 days for privacy reasons). Is this something you can work with?

Ok, that can be used to recover access to the account which owned the domain following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
In this case, you’ll use the transaction ID, these are the strings of letters and numbers after “WORDPRESS”.

Hello!
I still have access to the account, that is not a problem. Your solution offers re-acces to the account. However, I want the domainname back ;)
But when I choose to upgrade my plan, it is not possible to select the domain (as named in the thread above). So my question is: how to get that one back (asap). Is there a proces for that?

The domain has been canceled already and is pending to be deleted. After that, it will likely be released to the public, and you’ll be able to register it again.
I’m afraid it’s out of our control now, though. -
