domain recovery?

  HI,

  I am new to WordPress and I am attempting to create my first website. I created a free website with a domain name like: (myname).wordpress.com.
  I was having trouble getting the themes set up how I wanted it, so I made the (apparently terrible) decision to delete my site completely and start over. However, despite the fact that I have completely deleted my old website, I am unable to use the old domain name (myname).wordpress.com. My only free option is (myname)(random numbers).wordpress.com.

  So here’s my question: How can I use my old domain name? It is clearly not being used by me or anyone else since I deleted it not 2 hours ago.

  Bonus question: how can I reset everything on one of my sites without destroying the domain name?

  how can I reset everything on one of my sites without destroying the domain name?

  Our support page can assist you in this process.
  If you have tons of content on your blog, we can do it for you, but you can accomplish clearing your site fairly easily with bulk actions whenever you’re ready.

  Are you wanting your theme reverted to its original layout as well? If so, I can go ahead and empty the site and reset the theme for you.
