Domain recycling

Hi. I recently created a blog ‘supersimpletechtips’ and then decided to stick with what I had elsewhere but have now decided to definitely move over to WordPress and have had to use ‘supersimpletechtipsblog’ because the original domain is taken even though I believe I deleted the blog. Is there a way I can get the original domain back? Many thanks, Matt.

supersimpletechtips.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
Deleting a site removes not only the content but the site address, which cannot be recovered or reused. This is explained during the deletion process. https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ Sorry for no better news.

Off topic, but you’ll also want to change the website linked to your username under “Web Address” in your account settings https://wordpress.com/me/account
