Domain redemption

  Hi there – I paid the 80$ for a domain redemption. it has now been 5 days and I haven’t heard anything. Anyone can help or advise?

  Hi ilcanefilm,

  Have you dealt with a staff member via email regarding your payment? They would be the best person to get in touch with. To get a staff member’s attention here in the forums, you can add the modlook tag to the tags area of your thread to make sure they see it.

  Once you pay the $80, WordPress starts the process of trying to get your domain back and usually takes 1 – 2 days. I hope you can get it back!

  I paid the 80$ for a domain redemption. it has now been 5 days and I haven’t heard anything.

  I can see a member of staff replied to your email on 24 Jul 2017 to let you know they had started the recovery process by contacting the domain registry. They then sent more information to you on 25 Jul 2017 and 26 Jul 2017. If you didn’t receive these emails, please check your spam folder in case they went there.

  Unfortunately, your domain was too far long in the expiration process to be recovered. We have refunded the $80 redemption fee and the remaining $26 on your account for the cost of the domain. You can view a copy of the refund receipt in your Billing History:

  The domain was registered elsewhere after it had been cancelled and released. If this wasn’t you, you may want to consider registering a variation of the domain to use instead.
