Domain redirect

  Hi folks.

  I have bought a domain (xyz.com) name from wordpress.com and as i can see there is no option to redirect that domain to another domain. I realized that you can only change A records.

  e.g i want to redirect xyz.com to wer.com/test .

  Is there such an option or not ?

  Hello,
  You can also change the nameservers: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

  Use the information from your hosting provider to set those correctly.

  If it’s been more than 60 days since you bought the domain, you can transfer it to another registrar and do the redirect there: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

  By changing name servers, how the redirect is supposed to work ?

  Also domain is too old..

  Once you change the nameservers, your hosting provider can assist with the redirect. After it’s set up, someone visiting xyz.com will be taken to wer.com/test.

  Ok, I have a website not associated with wordpress.com, but I’d like one of my wordpress.com blogs to appear ON my website. Is that possible and if so…lol…sorry, but how do I do that? Thanks so much!

  @tarrathomas, if you want your WordPress.com blog to be added to your current website, then you can map a subdomain (paid upgrade): https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

  If you want your WordPress.com blog to replace what’s currently on your website, go with domain mapping (paid upgrade): https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Alternatively, you could move your blog to a self-hosted WordPress installation, perhaps on the same host you’re currently using: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/

  I have a domain registered with wordpress.com (thegreatamericanlife.com) that has expired. Now I cannot access my primary domain (blackenvironments.com). From what I understand from the error message, “The domain thegreatamericanlife.com was last renewed on June 1, 2014. It is configured to redirect traffic to the web address blackenvironments.com” I should still be able to access my primary domain. Has this happened to anyone? Can someone help me?
