  Hello, I am starting a new site and currently it is using a .wordpress.com subdomain.
  If in the future, I switch to a premium plan and get a domain, will the links that are pointing to .wordpress.com be honoured and point to my new domain?

  For example:

  mysite.wordpress.com/posts/my-first-post
  will redirect to:
  mysite.com/posts/my-first-post
  or it will break?

  Hi there,

  When you upgrade to a custom domain, we automatically redirect the free example.wordpress.com address to your custom domain, yes, so any links for the free address you’ve previously shared will still work.
