  My domain/website is live on another platform. Can I continue through the ‘connect your domain’ set up to build out the wordpress site while the original is still functioning (and taking orders)

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.

  Here’s a guide that will help you migrate your site to WordPress.com:
