domain redirect

    have not yet created a site with wordpress.com but alredy have a site created elsewhere. I want to create the site here first, then redirect traffic from the current site.

    Sure thing. That’s no problem at all. What you want to do is go ahead and build your new site on a free WordPress.com site address. Then, once the project is built, you should connect the domain. That domain connection requires an upgraded hosting plan. The plans, features, and costs are visible on https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    If you’re able to share more details with us about the project, goals, and functionality you need then we can help you in selecting the right starting point for your hosting plan. The plans can be upgraded/downgraded at any point, so don’t put too much worry on getting it just right.
