Domain Redirection
-
I know it says somewhere that it can take up to 72 hours to have your domain redirection take place but I find it odd that I did one earlier this year from Canaca.com and it took about 2 hours before my site showed up. This time also from Canaca.com it’s been about 36 hours and still nothing.
Anyone else had long switch over times?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, what actual WordPress.com URL were you trying to map that to? And note that at WP.com you can’t have www in front of your true domain; it always will take the form http://bcmasterslacrosse.com/
I have no idea what Canaca.com is. Did you buy the domain there? Is the blog hosted there?

bcmasterslacrosse.com
Did you follow these instructions?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Domain helper does not show any domain mapping
What do you see at
dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades
Dashboard >> Store >> Billing History?
-
I paid for domain registration and mapping. Under the Store/My Domains I have the primary domain mapping going to http://www.bcmasterslacrosse.com and under that it says in the box http://bcmasterslacrosse.com and the button Update Redirect Location. Below that is my wordpress site of bcmasterslacrosse.wordpress.com
At my store I have an active account for CSS and site redirection both are active. Billing history show both paid for.
-
Canaca.com is where my domain registration is. Like I said my previous redirect took 2-3 hours.
-
As well when I do a look up of the domain registry it states Canaca.com as registry with name servers pointing to wordpress
-
It looks to be that the issue is on wordpress side. Again checked the domain name servers and all point to wordpress.

No Domain Mapping Found
There is no domain mapping upgrade for bcmasterslacrosse.com. If you would like to use this domain you will first need to set up domain mapping.
Did you follow these instructions?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
and the button Update Redirect
If you are seeing a “Update Redirect” that is for a Redirect – not domain mapping. I think you have not bought the proper upgrade, Domain Redirect – I have domain mapping on my site and nowhere in the Store etc. do I see any “Update Redirect” –
I have flagged this for the staff – they can look at your Upgrades and see if you have the proper upgrade, I can’t
It looks like you want to cancel the Site Redirect and buy the domain mapping.
Do you have any redirects at your Registrar? That would really mess things up also
-
-
You be welcome
Remember you have 30 days that you can cancel the Site Redirect – so no need to you to pay twice

Hello there Paul,
I checked your blog and looks like you’re good to go! Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks @raincoaster and @captnmike for the help!
