Domain Redirection

I am trying to redirect my domain hosted on WordPress to go straight to a new site developed on squarespace but I am not getting a connection. I have checked all of the easy answers but I am missing something

WordPress.COM is the top level domain here and all sites provided and hosted by wordpress.COM are on .wordpress.com sub domains like http://saltyoats.wordpress.com/
We need details please.
1. What is the domain URL that you purchased from wordpress.COM?
2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. Of which domain are you speaking? You have a domain, kayakcookies.com, mapped to your WordPress.com site, but that domain is registered with Register.com. You’ll need to contact them for help if you want to point that domain to Squarespace.
If you want to redirect traffic from your WordPress.com site, saltyoats.wordpress.com, to a Squarespace site, you can do that using the Site Redirect upgrade:
